How many golfers can I add?

Unlimited, with a Group Handicap membership. The free version allows up to 5 posted scores per golfer to try the app before upgrading.

Can golfers view their scores on their own phone?

Yes. Go to the Golfers tab, tap Publish & Share with Members, and send the email. Members follow the instructions in the email to view scores in the ForeFun Golf GPS app using a secure token.

How do I move data to a new device?

Back up on your current device (Settings → Backup / Restore → Back Up Now). On the new device, sign in with the same app account and restore the backup. See the full guide for step-by-step instructions.

When does a golfer's first handicap index appear?

Under World Handicap rules, after 3 full 18-hole rounds. Under Short League rules, after 2 full rounds. A single 9-hole score doesn't count alone — two 9-hole rounds must be combined first. Learn more on the League Rules page.

Is this an official USGA or R&A handicap?

No. Golf League Handicap Tracker is neither sponsored nor endorsed by USGA or R&A and does not provide an official USGA or R&A handicap index. It is designed for recreational leagues who want fair, WHS-style calculations for their own play. For a full breakdown of how this compares to GHIN for recreational leagues, see our Golf League Handicap Tracker vs GHIN comparison guide.

What is the difference between World Handicap and Short League?

World Handicap looks back across 20 rounds and uses the best 8. Short League looks back across only 10 rounds and uses the best 5, making it faster to establish a handicap for shorter seasons. See the full comparison on the League Rules page.

Do individual golfers need a separate app to track their own handicap?

Yes — Golf League Handicap Tracker is designed for the commissioner to manage the group. Individual golfers who want to track their own Handicap Index and full score history on their own phone can use Golf Handicap Tracker & Scores (mygolfhandicaptracker.com), available on iPhone and Android.

Do you have a GPS rangefinder for use during a round?

That's a separate app — ForeFun Golf GPS (forefungolfgps.com) gives you front, center, and back yardages, AI green contour maps, and Apple Watch support. Many league players use both apps together.

What devices are supported?

iPhone (iOS 16+), iPad, Mac (Apple Silicon M1 and later), and Apple Vision Pro. The app is only 2.2 MB.

Will my subscription carry over after reinstalling?

Yes — just open Settings → Membership and the app automatically picks up your current subscription status. No manual action needed. If it doesn't appear, tap Restore Purchases as a fallback.
